Personal Study
Your time to be alone with God, can transform your relationship with Christ by encouraging consistent meditation and deep, intimate time in study and prayer. God's people need consistent time in His Word to stimulate their spiritual growth and fortify their faith in Him. It is not about reading a few verses or even a few chapters ― and that is that. A serious study of God's Word means checking out references, and the verses given from a reference, and meditating and praying for guidance and understanding. To read God's word as an 'academic' exercise is just that - an academic exercise - and does not bring you peace. Re-read the opening sentences in this paragraph. May you have true joy and peace as you seriously study God's Word.
God's Word is without error
Inerrancy isn't simply a matter of theological debate. It's a matter of God's character.
God cannot lie;
therefore His Word is true.
Jeremiah says that the Lord is "the
true God" or the God of truth.
The apostle John said, "God is true".
And Jesus defined eternal life as knowing "the only true God"
―
in John 17:3.
Christ came so we might "know Him who is true ... the only true God"
The above truths have come from the following verses in the Bible:
Titus 1:1,2, 3
Jeremiah 10:10
Hebrews 6:17-18
John 3:33 & 34-36
John 17:3
1 John 5:20
