"Visiting" a country, its culture, its food and its people; In April, we "visited" Zimbabwe and found out all about the children's home "Khayelihle Village" where Churches of Christ in Australia, New Zealand and USA have set up a great village, complete with self-sustainable gardens, farm-yard animals, and fields of crops. The children living there are disadvantaged due to the AIDS epidemic, where one or both of their parents have died. Khayelihle Village is their home . . .
Food: Our visits to countries, includes a spread of specially delicious Aussie meal with a distinct other country-style, included in the door price.
Costs: pay at the door: of $10 per adult, $5 per child under 12 years; or maximum of $25 per family.
Time: 4 pm Hors D'oeuvres; items, and video, often a speaker, and finishing at 6.30 pm.
Atmosphere: As if you were in another country!
Where? At the Church of Christ Hall on the corner of Spring Street, Kersbrook.
