BY CARVIA MORPHETT VALE, SOUTHERN BEACHES AND McLAREN VALE. Follow the main South Road through Morphett Vale (or the Southern Expressway to Old Noarlunga). Or, follow the coast to Christies Beach and Noarlunga. At McLaren Vale take the Kangarilla Road to McLaren Flat. Just before McLaren Flat at the 80km sign and CFS turn left. Right at the next intersection and follow this road to the junction of Blewitt Springs and Douglas Gully Roads. Douglas Scrub corner is directly in front of you. Follow Douglas Gully Road to the main gates, oposite Woodstock Wine Cellars. MAP VIA CLARENDON: From Adelaide drive via Blackwood or Happy Valley to Clarendon. At the top of Clarendon Hill turn right and follow the signs to Blewitt Springs. Continue through Blewitt Springs to a T junction at Douglas Gully and Blewitt Springs Roads. Douglas Scrub is on your left. Turn left on Douglas Gully Road to the main gates oposite Woodstock Wine Cellars. BY TRAIN, THEN BIKEFrom Adelaide to Noarlunga Centre by train, then approximately 20 kms cycle ride to Douglas Scrub. Allow four to five hours. BY BUS, THEN HIKETake Bus from Adelaide to Hackham (from Penny's Hill Road, States Road intersection). Hike east 4km along Penny's Hill Road and Piggott Range Road to Onkaparinga River Recreation Park, 'Sundews' track entrance. Continue to Douglas Scrub via Onkaparinga Gorge (two routes) click here for more details on hike routes though the gorge. WARNING: Before your hike contact Mt.Bold Reservoir to ensure water from the reservoir is not being released, in this event crossing the Onkaparinga River is impossible.
