CANOEING ON THE DAM

Equipment available for hire includes: canoes, paddles, life jackets of various sizes, life buoy and throw line. Costs for hire available on application. Sometimes in summer there is not sufficient water in the dam to conduct canoeing or rafting activities. Enquire when booking. Leaders must hold appropriate qualfications to conduct this activity at Douglas Scrub.

RAFTING ON THE DAM

Equipment available for hire includes: life jackets of various sizes, paddles, poles (including sealed plastic pipe) lashing ropes and drums. A life buoy and throw line is located at the dam. Leaders must hold appropriate qualfications to conduct this activity at Douglas Scrub.

CANOEING AND WATER SPORTS FURTHER AFIELD

Onkaparinga River - canoe from Old Noarlunga to Port Noarlunga.
Noarlunga Aquatic Centre, Seaman Road, Noarlunga: heated indoor pool, aerobics, aquarobics, yoga, spa and sauna. Tel. (08) 8326 2822.
Noarlunga Reef - for experienced scuba divers and snorkellers.
